Confession time

Ok let me lay my cards on the table I'M NOT A VERY GOOD COOK, lol just ask my kids a least  I can laugh at myself.   This blog has gone through so many changes from trying to write about places that I go out to lunch or dinner, to showing you what I have cooked, to asking you to share a recipe with a food that I pick for you, and trying to get you to interact with me.  But its still not working. 

So I went on forums and ask people to take a look at my blog and let me know what they think.  One lovely person gave me some wonderful feedback.  It was then that I told her that I wasn't a very good cook.  So she said I should put my cooking mistakes on here, she was joking,  but I thought why not.  I think it would give you all a laugh.

I will share my cooking with you good and bad and you can comment on it or not its up to you.  If you like what I cook I will put up the recipe.  If you have a easy recipe I can try please feel free to let me know.  And while I'm trying the recipe I will take photos and show you how I went with it and let you know if my kids like it or not.:-)

To those of you that visit my blog I say thank you.  It seems that my blog is not interesting enough to make you say and interact with me and my blog, so I thought a few changes should be made.

I would really like your feedback please.

So I'm still going to choose a different ingredient to cook with once a week, but just to mix it up a bit I will choose a theme, now it could be something you make for a dinner party  or  cook for dinner, or take to a bbq.

So what do you think of that idea.  Your feedback would be wonderful.:-)

Ok so here it is.....Potato.  I would love to know what you would make with a potato.  It could be in a meal, or a appetiser, maybe even an after school snack.

making the most out of this blog

Ok I want you to enjoy this blog as much as I do.  So I have come up with a great idea for my blog to be more interactive for my readers.  Every month I will show you an ingredient. Then I would like to know what you would cook with this ingredient .  Then I will high light the best recipe and you for that week.  And I will share as well some of my own recipes that I use with the ingredient also.

So with that said, stay tune for the first picture.......

Jacket Potato

Here is one of my favourites snacks when I don't have a long lunch.

Jacket Potato pre cooked the night before, then all you have to do is put a little butter and grate some cheese on top, put it in the microwave for one minute then add the cooked bacon on top and sour cream on the side.
